Cookie Policy
Last updated 23 September 2026
Short version
FrigoConnect sets two cookies, both strictly necessary: one keeps you signed in, the other is a security check against forged requests. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies of any kind.
Strictly necessary cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| frigo_session | Keeps you signed in between requests. Holds a random token — never your password — and our servers store only a hash of it. | 14 days from signing in, or until you sign out |
| frigo_csrf | A random security token that proves requests recording contact clicks come from our own pages (protection against cross-site request forgery). Contains no personal data. | Until you close your browser |
Both are set with SameSite=Lax and, in production, Secure; the session cookie is also httpOnly, so page scripts can't read it. Because they are strictly necessary to provide the service securely, they don't require consent under UK GDPR / PECR and can't be switched off.
What we don't use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar tracking scripts.
- No cross-site tracking of any kind.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't identify you or follow you to other sites. Our error monitoring (Sentry) likewise sets no cookies.
We also record certain interactions — load views, profile views and contact clicks — on our servers, against a hashed IP address and user agent (and your account, if you're signed in), for supplier and platform statistics such as load cover rate. This is not cookie-based tracking and is covered by our Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
Because we only set cookies that are strictly necessary, there is no cookie banner or preference centre. You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings — doing so will sign you out of FrigoConnect.
